Portraits on the Beach

I mentioned my run of portraits with boys and here is Tomoko, Hikaru and Kai at Kings Beach.
I find it so hard to choose favourites as there are so many I love! The ones I choose tonight are likely to be different to the faves I might choose tomorrow. Of course, tonights pick is influenced by a couple of glasses of red on an empty stomach. Somehow I missed dinner. That's what happens when there's no kids in the house to keep me to schedule!
Bekky is away camping for the Easter weekend and Joey was here last night and went home at lunch time today after breaking the stereo and generally creating havoc with Rupert. It was great to have him here but it was equally as great to be able to take him back to his place so I could get some more work done.

I love the range of emotions exhibited by Kai in these photos. Imagine how much more precious these photos will be in years to come as he grows into a young man.

Boys, boys, boys!

I have lots of things to post about over the next few days.
I'll start with a few from Michelle and Keith's portrait session in their backyard, as I have just finished their storybook. They have 4 boys and they were great to work with!
I have two other family portraits from the last week and they both have one boy each. So it's all boys! I'll post some of them next week.
We have had a Japanese student staying with us for a week so I'll tell you all about her soon. We're taking her to Maleny tomorrow before she leaves in the afternoon.
Today I went for a quick trip in a helicopter to take some aerial shots so it's been another eventful week.
More coming soon!

More of Alisha and Garth. My overall favourite is still the kissing shot in the first post.

SMOKIN!

Yesterday's wedding was smokin' hot in more ways than one! Congrat's to Garth and Alisha. Not only was it a hot, hot day but the bride and groom were hot too, as you can see in the kissing shot. And, I guess it's a boy thing to burn rubber but the driver of one of the wedding cars sure smoked up the car park.
More to come soon.

Michelle & Keith

I am in the middle of a two day portrait seminar with master photographer Rob Heyman. My brain is weary trying to take it all in but I'm also excited about the new things I have learnt.
Much has been happening recently and I'll try and blog about it when I get a few spare minutes. For now, I'll just share one of my favourites from a fun family session from last week. I love this shot of Mum and Dad with the 4 boys behind them.

More Woodford

Most of the images are from the Folklorica tent which is where Bekky and I volunteered our services for the festival. The sunset is from the hilltop stage as is the lights of Woodford. If I were so inclined I could write a brief blurb about each act, but I'm not so you'll just have to enjoy the visual without a description. If you want to know more, you'll just have to go to Woodford next time and see for yourself!
