Madeline from Melbourne

Madeline's Mum braved torrential rain to get these photos done before they flew back to Melbourne the next day. Madeline wasn't phased by the weather and had a great time playing with her toes and generally looking gorgeous.

Beauty in nature

My favourite places are National Parks, Botanic Gardens, Mountains and Rainforests.
I went for a walk through Ben Bennet Park yesterday and caught the early morning sun shining on these two. I find much pleasure in the simple things in life, like this. It's free, it's available to all and, bonus for me, it's walking distance from my house.

Baby Liam

What a character! Liam really knew how to strike a pose and work the camera.

Cello Dreaming presents...

Serenading the Moon. Photographed last Saturday in St Mary's Anglican church at Kangaroo Point, and on Sunday in Noosa.

Louise King CELLO & Pascal RogĂ© PIANO in Montville & Noosa with guest pianist Marilyn Meier-Kapavale in Brisbane. Ben Cornfoot, commedia dell’arte actor as ‘Pierrot Lunaire’ directed by Tony Kashawi from Lightwire Theatrical Productions.

Caloundra Regional Art Gallery

You only have a few days left to catch the urban scrawl and ConVerge exhibitions at the Art Gallery. It's an interesting blend of two diverse art forms - ceramics and street art - which mingle in a surprisingly complimentary manner. Worth a look if you're at a loose end this weekend. The echidna is my favourite, I would have liked to take him home with me!

Thomas

Thomas looked as cute as an elf with his little hat on. He reminds me of a Gumnut baby. Snugglepot or Cuddlepie?

Be the finest Plum...

I can't recall if I've posted this poem before but even if I have it's worth reading again. I discovered this little treasure many years ago and shared it with my daughter as she was going through the usual struggles of growing up and learning to love who you are.

The Plum...

You can learn that you cannot be loved by all people

You can be the finest PLUM in the world,

Ripe...Juicy...Succulent

And offer yourself to all.

However you must remember there will always be people who do not like plums.

You can learn to understand that if you are the world’s finest plum,

And someone you like does not like plums

You have a choice of becoming a banana.

However, you need to be warned that if you choose to become a banana,

You will be a second-rate banana,

However, you can always be the best plum.

You need to understand that if you choose to be a second-rate banana,

There will always be people who do not like bananas,

Furthermore, you can spend your life trying to become the best banana (which is impossible if you are a plum),

Or: You can seek again to be the

Best Plum!!!

Back of the Bus

Holy dreadlocks Batman (or is it Robin?), I've made it to the big time. Or, at least, one of my photos has made it to the big end of a bus! Not that you'd recognise it, or the person in it for that matter, once the First National Graphics Department got a hold of it! If you're cruising around Caloundra you will no doubt end up following one of the buses sporting these larger than life Advertisements for Webbers First National Real Estate. You can't miss 'em!
I bought my house from Robert about 11 years ago and now Rebekah is working at Webbers as a Sales Receptionist. Pop in and say 'hi' if you're passing. They're at 4 Otranto Ave, Caloundra.

And here is the original photo. Look out for some Webber family photos in an upcoming post.

Twins!

Ella and Amani were my first twins to photograph and they didn't exactly make it easy for me! I had a lot of fun though and can't wait to have more twins to 'play' with.
