This was the last job to get done before Christmas.
I love doing family portraits. I think they are so important and yet so many of us never seem to get around to getting them done. The kids grow so fast and they'll be off our hands and out living their own lives before we know it.
Jenny, Derek and Devin absolutely hate having their photos taken but they were pressured into it by overseas family and friends. Jenny initially refused to be in any of the photos. I stressed how important it was in years to come for the kids to be able to look back on those years and also to be able to share those times with their (future) children.
I don't think it was too torturous for them and I'm sure the memories will make it all worth while. They look pretty relaxed and Chilli, their cute dog, helped break the ice.
Bouncing between the sunny Sunshine Coast and moody Melbourne, Wild Honey Photography is metamorphosing into a new direction. Offering the ideal way of learning or improving your photography by going on short get-a-ways with an experienced photography teacher. We're still in the chrysalis right now but watch out when we emerge. It's gonna be beautiful.

Kristy & Justin
I'm wading through a back log of work and frantically trying to catch up. I'll try and post a couple of photos as I get through each job. I'm currently putting together Kristy and Justin's wedding album from October 21 and there are so many great images it is hard to pick just a couple of favourites to show here.

Showcasing Bekky's Talent
I've been so focused on caring for Joey during the holidays that I haven't taken any photos worth posting. My apprentice, Bekky, has been in fine form though so I am posting some of her work.
My brother Glen and his partner Terese and their daughter Emma visited for a weekend on their way to Toowoomba to see our Granny who is battling cancer. Bekky had a great time playing with her young cousin and captured this great shot of Emma running to the park with Rupert.
Bekky went to Artist Jam Camp with one of my cameras and did a series of 'Jump' photos. Here are three of my favourites.

From Goth to Classic
This gal can get away with any style with ease and class!
The goth shot is from a couple of years ago just to show the transition. I would suggest to other parents not to panic if their daughter starts dressing 'weird'. It's just a form of self-expression and finding their own style and individuality. It doesn't necessarily mean they are turning into satan worshippers or juvenile delinquents. Although they might if you cramp their style too much!

Engagement session
I'm just about to head out the door to photograph an opening at the Caloundra Art Gallery but I just had to post this pic first. It was a great session with a really romantic, fun couple at the Maroochy Botanic Gardens. I took Bekky along with me to give her some practice and this is one of her shots. I just love it. She has such an incredible eye.

Kids I
Tracey and I have been friends since her oldest son Hayden started Year 1 with my son Joey. Hayden is now in Year 12 and is School Captain!
I went over today to take individual photos of all 6 kids (and a casual group shot). Here are my quick pick of favourites.
(I can't figure out how to fit all the photos into one post so the boys will be in the next one).
